Content Representation & Dispute Policy

Last Updated: August 2026

1. Overview

This Content Representation & Dispute Policy establishes the standards for content representation on CheatSheetShop ("CSS") and outlines the process for reporting and investigating concerns relating to the accuracy of a listing.

The objective of this policy is to maintain a fair, transparent, and trustworthy marketplace while safeguarding the interests of all members.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all content listed, advertised, sold, purchased, downloaded, reviewed, and otherwise made available through CSS.

3. Representation Requirements

Members are responsible for ensuring that all listings accurately represent the content being offered.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Listing titles
  • Descriptions
  • Categories
  • Tags
  • Previews
  • File content
  • Claims regarding the nature or purpose of the resource

A listing must not contain information that is false, misleading, deceptive, materially inaccurate, or likely to create an incorrect expectation regarding the content being provided.

4. Quality of Content

CSS is a marketplace that facilitates the exchange of member-created content.

CSS does not guarantee:

  • Academic outcomes
  • Examination performance
  • Assessment results
  • Accuracy of member-created content
  • Completeness of member-created content
  • Quality of member-created content
  • Suitability of member-created content for any particular purpose

Differences in quality, presentation style, study approach, depth of coverage, or personal opinion do not constitute misrepresentation.

5. Reviews and Ratings

Reviews and ratings exist to assist members in making informed purchasing decisions.

A negative review, low rating, or expression of dissatisfaction does not, by itself, constitute evidence of misrepresentation.

A listing will not be removed, suspended, restricted, or otherwise penalised solely because it receives negative reviews or low ratings.

Members remain responsible for conducting their own assessment of a listing prior to purchase, including consideration of available previews, descriptions, ratings, reviews, and other information provided within the marketplace.

6. Reporting Misrepresentation

A purchasing member who reasonably believes that a listing has been materially misrepresented may select Report this Listing on the purchased listing's page.

The purchasing member must select a reason, describe the concern, and may upload relevant evidence. CSS creates a unique Investigation ID and notifies the listing member.

Reports should relate to objective concerns regarding the accuracy of the listing and not subjective opinions regarding quality, usefulness, formatting, study methods, or personal preference.

Examples of concerns that may be investigated under this policy include:

  • The delivered file differs materially from the advertised content.
  • The listing description is materially inaccurate.
  • The title materially misrepresents the content provided.
  • The uploaded file is unrelated to the listing.
  • Significant information has been omitted in a manner likely to mislead members.

7. Investigation Process

Upon receipt of a report, CSS opens an investigation. The listing member may review the complaint, respond, and upload relevant evidence.

The review may include consideration of:

  • Listing title
  • Listing description
  • Listing metadata
  • Preview content
  • Uploaded files
  • Member reports
  • Previous moderation history
  • Information and evidence provided by the purchasing and listing members
  • Relevant purchase, delivery, access, refund, and payment-dispute records
  • Any other relevant information

During an investigation, the listing is hidden from marketplace search and trending results and cannot be purchased. Existing purchasing members retain access unless a later investigation decision, refund, chargeback, or legal requirement changes that access.

Submissions, evidence, status changes, and decisions are timestamped in a permanent investigation timeline. A related Stripe dispute or chargeback is attached to the same investigation rather than handled as a separate CSS complaint.

The submission of a report does not automatically establish that a violation has occurred.

8. Investigation Outcomes

Following review, CSS may determine that:

No Violation Occurred

Where no material misrepresentation is identified:

  • The listing may remain active.
  • Any temporary restrictions may be removed.
  • No further action may be taken.

Material Misrepresentation Confirmed

Where material misrepresentation is identified, CSS may take one or more of the following actions:

  • Remove the listing from sale.
  • Require the listing to be corrected and resubmitted.
  • Issue a warning to the member.
  • Issue a strike to the member.
  • Place the member under enhanced moderation review.
  • Restrict future listing privileges.
  • Suspend or terminate the member account.
  • Take any other action reasonably necessary to protect the integrity of the marketplace.

9. Member Compensation

Where CSS determines through an investigation that a listing has been materially misrepresented, the platform may provide an appropriate remedy to affected members. A refund is an investigation outcome, not the starting point of the process, and submitting a report does not guarantee a refund.

Such remedies may include:

  • A full refund.
  • Any other remedy deemed appropriate in the circumstances.

The availability of a remedy will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

10. Repeat Violations

Members who repeatedly submit listings that are found to be materially misleading or materially inaccurate may be subject to escalating enforcement measures.

Repeated violations may be considered evidence of disregard for marketplace standards and may result in permanent restrictions on participation within the platform.

11. Policy Principles

CSS is committed to the following principles:

  • Members are entitled to accurate representations of listed content.
  • Members are responsible for their purchasing decisions.
  • Content quality is determined by the marketplace and its participants.
  • Misrepresentation is distinct from quality and will be assessed separately.
  • Reviews and ratings are not substitutes for formal moderation processes.
  • Investigations will be conducted fairly, consistently, and impartially.
  • Both purchasing and listing members are entitled to procedural fairness.

12. Changes to This Policy

CSS may update this Content Representation & Dispute Policy from time to time.

Where significant changes are made, reasonable notice will be provided through the platform.

Continued use of CSS after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

13. Contact

Questions regarding this policy may be submitted through the CSS support system.

We will make reasonable efforts to respond promptly.
