Copyright & Takedown Policy

1. Overview
CheatSheetShop ("CSS") respects intellectual property rights and expects all members to do the same.
This Copyright & Takedown Policy explains how copyright concerns can be reported, how CSS investigates claims, and what actions may be taken when content is alleged to infringe the rights of another party.
2. Member Responsibility
Members are responsible for ensuring that any content they upload:
- Is their own original work; or
- Is used with appropriate permission; or
- May be legally distributed by them.
Members remain solely responsible for the content they upload to CSS.
3. Reporting Copyright Infringement
A copyright owner, authorised representative, or rights holder may submit a copyright complaint where they reasonably believe content on CSS infringes their intellectual property rights.
Reports should include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work;
- Identification of the allegedly infringing content;
- Sufficient information for CSS to locate the content;
- Contact information for the complainant;
- A statement explaining the basis of the complaint.
Providing complete information helps CSS investigate more efficiently.
4. Initial Review
Upon receiving a complaint, CSS may:
- Review the reported content;
- Request additional information;
- Contact the member who uploaded the content;
- Temporarily restrict access to the content while the matter is investigated.
CSS may determine that a complaint is incomplete, unsupported, or does not establish a reasonable basis for further action.
5. Temporary Content Restriction
Where CSS believes a complaint appears credible, the affected listing may be:
- Hidden;
- Disabled;
- Removed from public view; or
- Placed under review.
Temporary restriction does not automatically mean that a policy breach has occurred.
It simply allows CSS to investigate the matter fairly.
6. Response from the Uploading Member
Where appropriate, CSS may provide the uploading member with an opportunity to respond.
The member may be asked to provide information demonstrating:
- Ownership of the content;
- Permission to use the content; or
- Any other relevant information supporting their position.
Failure to respond within a reasonable timeframe may result in the content remaining unavailable.
7. Investigation Outcome
After reviewing available information, CSS may:
7.1 Restore the Content
Where insufficient evidence exists to support the complaint.
7.2 Maintain Removal
Where the complaint appears valid and the content is determined to infringe intellectual property rights.
7.3 Request Modifications
Where issues can reasonably be resolved through corrections, revisions, or removal of specific material.
8. Repeat Infringement
Members who repeatedly upload content that infringes the rights of others may be subject to:
- Listing removal;
- Temporary suspension;
- Permanent account termination; or
- Other actions considered necessary to protect the platform and its members.
CSS may consider the frequency, severity, and circumstances of previous violations when determining appropriate action.
9. False or Misleading Complaints
Submitting knowingly false, misleading, malicious, or fraudulent copyright complaints is prohibited.
Where CSS determines that complaints are being abused, CSS may:
- Reject future complaints;
- Limit access to reporting features; or
- Take other actions necessary to protect the platform and affected members.
10. Limitation of Responsibility
CSS operates as a marketplace platform and does not independently verify ownership of every uploaded file before publication.
While CSS may investigate complaints and enforce platform policies, responsibility for uploaded content remains with the member who uploaded that content.
11. Changes to This Policy
CSS may update this Copyright & Takedown Policy from time to time.
Where significant changes are made, reasonable notice will be provided through the platform.
Continued use of CSS after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
